About Us

As part of the World Without Walls programme St Andrew's Church is partnered with charitable organisations in India. We keep in regular contact with our partners and help to raise awareness and funds for the work they are doing. Pastor Raj Ignatius was the first of our partners to visit us for the World Without Walls training way back in February 2006 and then Michael John visited us in October 2006. Since that time many people from the church have been to visit our Indian partners and our Indian partners have also been to visit us in Bo'ness. At the moment there are three main organisations that we support. Hepzibah Ministries, Christ the Rock Church and Sangita Charitable Trust. There are other groups that have a close link to these organisations which we also support from time to time such as, the leprosy colony at Chingleput, Rapha Mission, a social organisation that work with prostitutes, Kennedy Matriculation School and Nambikkayin Vasal Trust, which provides schooling to tribal children. These organisations are based in the southern region of India called Tamil Nadu and run tuition classes for children, teach sewing to ladies, provide a home and schooling for homeless children, give food rations and support to widows, provide health care to surrounding villages, support and work with prostitutes and help the people who live with Leprosy.

Our Vision

Our interest in technology and film has enabled the creation of a number of entrepreneurial ventures, helping the church to connect with and develop a number of worldwide social and humanitarian programmes. This work allows the church to become relationally connected to a wide range of overseas projects The results have been quite extra-ordinary. An International Development Trust, The Vinetrust, has emerged which is now completely autonomous from St Andrew’s Bo’ness although our minister still remains its Chairperon. The World Without Walls Project aims to link together organisations in Scotland with their partner organisations overseas and as part of this project we set up our partnership with India.
